What you'll need
- Candy mold of the Eiffel Tower (available via many online sellers)
- Candy melts (pink)
- Cupcakes
How to make it
1. Purchase cupcakes in colors complementary to your party.
For a Pink Paris-themed party, white or pink frosted cupcakes might be best.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, warm white candy melts at medium power for one minute in the microwave. Include - just a few! - red melts, to make pink.
Don't add any liquids including food coloring or it could "seize," aka harden into clumps.
3. Let them rest a minute or so in-between warming them, then stir for about a minute.
4. Return to microwave to warm for another 30 seconds at half power.
5. Stir again for 1 minute and allow to rest for a few minutes while they continue to melt.
6. Repeat the process as needed until the melts are almost entirely smooth.
Be patient since it can take 20 minutes or so to melt a large batch completely. If it gets too hot, it could clump up. If they are clumping or seizing, add a spoonful of shortening to smooth it out.
7. When the mixture is smooth and about skin temperature, pour a tablespoon into each figure of your clean-and-dry candy mold.
When the mold is filled, lightly tap it on your counter to release any air bubbles.
8. Refrigerate until firm.
9. Remove each candy figure from its mold by gently bending the form and prying it out, or by lightly tapping the upside-down mold to allow each figure to drop down onto a clean kitchen towel.
10. Once made, there is no need to refrigerate your miniature candy Eiffel Towers. Place on your cupcakes and serve.
11. Voila! Enjoy!
