This hand not only has a life of its own, it could be the life of the party. It’s ready to greet guests with a wave, or even offer you a piece of candy. It’s the ultimate Halloween idea, hands down.
What you'll need
- Black mitten
- Aluminum foil
- Paper towels
How to make it
1. For each mitten, roll five pieces of aluminum foil that are the length of the fingers on the mitten. The foil makes it possible for the fingers to bend.
2. To fatten up the fingers and make them fill out the mitten, wrap each foil digit with a paper towel.
3. Slide each foil finger into the fingers in the mitten. Depending on how thick your paper towels are, you’ll have to really push them in. Then roll up additional paper towels to fill up the palm and wrist of the mitten.
4. Bend the fingers so that the hand can hold a message. If you have trouble getting the hand to sit, add more scrunched up paper towels to the base of the mitten, and say loudly to the hand, “Sit!” (Just kidding about that last part.)
