Total Time 1 to 2 hours Ages preschooler
Use adorable fabric to create this unique and custom puzzle for your toddler or preschooler. You can make your puzzle very easy or quite challenging depending on the fabric you choose and how many pieces you cut. Since the pieces are soft, if cut them large enough, even baby can play! As an added feature, your puzzle will be backed in felt, which means it be played on a flannel or felt board.

What you'll need
- A swatch of fabric with a large bold print
- Iron-on adhesive (in roll or sheet form)
- Felt (at least as large as your swatch)
- Iron
- Scissors or rotary cutter
Variations:
Cut more abstract shapes, instead of squares.
How to make it
1. Iron the adhesive sheet, paper side up, to the back of your fabric.
2. Peel off the paper and lay your fabric, adhesive side down, on your piece of felt. Iron to set the adhesive.
3. Trim around the edges of your fabric to create nice clean lines. (The adhesive should help stop fraying).
4. Decide how many pieces you would like to cut based on the difficulty of your puzzle. (The more you cut the more challenging it will be.) Using a rotary cutter or scissors, cut your fabric into square puzzle pieces.
5. Jumble up the pieces and get playing!
