After I made my fairy-loving girls some flower fairy wands to twirl, they needed super-sparkly fairy wings to help them fly!
What you'll need
- Clear contact paper (found in craft stores, and hardware stores)
- Glitter – of course!
- Masking tape
- Ribbon
- Permanent pen
- Scissors
How to make it
1. Cut a 17”x11” piece of contact paper. Remove the backing from the paper and tape it sticky-side-up to a table. Decorate the contact paper with as much glitter as your little fairy desires.
Cut another 17”x11” piece of contact paper, remove the backing and tape it (sticky-side-down) to the first piece of contact paper.
Now you have glitter sandwiched between two pieces of plastic.
2. Fold the plastic glittered sheet in half and draw a fairy wing.
3. Cut out the wings and tape the edges.
4. With the scissors, punch 4 small slits in the wings and thread ribbon through the wings.
5. Tie the ribbons to make shoulder straps.
Let the flying begin!
